How accurate is the VO₂ measurement?
The VentriJect reading uses AI-driven seismocardiography and correlates above 0.9 with traditional metabolic-cart testing — the laboratory gold standard — taken at rest, with no treadmill or mask required.
Is the DEXA scan safe?
Yes. A DEXA scan uses a very low dose of radiation — far less than a standard chest X-ray, and a small fraction of what you receive from natural background sources in a single day. It is a widely used, established clinical standard.
How often should I re-test?
The single most useful thing the assessment gives you is a trend. Most people re-test every 6 to 12 months — often enough to see whether what you’re doing is working, which is why we offer multi-visit packages.
Do I need a referral or a membership?
No. Assessments are open to all. A membership with Alternity Healthcare is a separate, concierge relationship — the assessment here stands on its own.
How long does a package stay valid?
All package visits must be used within 12 months of your initial appointment.
